Education & Experience
Mekupi Kambatuku holds an MBA from the University of Stellenbosch Business School. As part of the MBA curriculum, she attended two of the modules with international universities, Cologne University in Germany and Grenoble Ecole de Management in France, both virtually. In addition, she holds a Post Graduate Diploma in business administration from the University of Stellenbosch Business School, a Degree in Business Administration from Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), and completed a few modules on CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants).
Mekupi is the founder and managing consultant of Simpli Business Advisory, a training and consulting firm serving corporates, SMEs, start-ups, and agripreneurs. Her company hosted the Strategic Farming Seminar in 2022 and consults under the Development Bank of Namibia’s SME program. She also mentors and trains SMEs across Europe and Africa through Forward.Inc and Orange Corners Netherlands.
She has facilitated major national projects, including ProBATs 2 (GIZ/CEFE/NIFA), and brings 13 years of accounting experience from both the private and public sectors before founding her firm. Mekupi lectures part-time in Business Management and trains organizations in Financial Management and enterprise development. She has worked with B2Gold, NUST, MVA Fund, Agribank, and the Bank of Namibia.
She has moderated high-level discussions on climate finance and women in agriculture, serves as Chairperson of the Stellenbosch Business School Alumni Association Namibia, and mentors small business owners in South Africa. She has spoken regionally, including at the African Union MSMEs Forum, and represented Stellenbosch Business School at EFMD’s EQUIS 2024 Peer Review.
From 2022 to 2025, she wrote weekly finance columns for The New Era and appeared on Good Morning Namibia’s Finance Wednesday series.
Her expertise spans business development, SME mentoring and coaching, finance and accounting, budgeting, donor-funded project management, strategy formulation and execution, operations, and capacity building.
